Reports are filtering through of a health
scare for Guttersnipe Guitarist and former footballer ‘Mr Philip Thompson’.
On Saturday 12th July our sources inform us that Mr Thompson stopped
drinking at 19.00 hours. To make matters worse we are reliably informed
that he retired to his tent and rested. No ambulance was called but
this years takings at the Bishops Castle Beer Festival were down by
a quarter. Is this a coincidence?

Drummer Shows His True Colours.
Devout vegetarian and generally
do-gooder commits murder! Yes folks I know it’s hard to believe but
well known good guy and leftie political activist ‘Mr Nigel Neat’
committed murder last Friday in a blooded frenzy akin to any genocide
carried out in some far off back water. He didn’t even stop to warn
his feathered friend as his clinically drove over him repeatedly until
the animal was dead. Many of the victims friends gathered round afterwards
to inspect the devastation as Mr Neat calmly drove away leaving his
two sons in tears at their fathers hideous act. The police are investigating
but as yet no charges have been brought but due to the nature of the
incident it is suspected he will be charged with assault and battery.

A statement from Nobby:
“Hi,
I’m pleased to report that the wrist appears to be well on the road
to recovery! I had an operation a couple of weeks ago to have small
metal plate inserted which was successful. The dressing was removed
earlier in the week and I’m now in the process of carrying out daily
physio exercises. Day by day my wrist is feeling stronger and stronger,
I can now hold a drumstick and hit a snare drum albeit rather lightly
at the minute!
The way things are looking I am confident that
I’ll be back behind the drums for the Yorkshire House gig on 6th May.
Many
thanks for all the messages of support that I’ve received since my
injury – very much appreciated. See you soon.”
